The files that i created in illustrator were largely an experiment to test the laser cutters capabilities when rendering drawings. Using a scanner and the sketches i had created from visiting the V and A museum i was able to convert them into mathematical shapes. These mathematical shapes were then set a specific stroke width and color, black for engraved and red for full penetration.
The Information i used was gathered from "What the Buddha Taught" a book by Richard Gombrich and Walpola Rahula. It was published in 1959 and has been regarded as an important introductory book on Buddhism. I cross reference this information with other sources such as the Roots of Buddhist Psychology by Jack Kornfield and this website: http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/guide.htm
